What is a Scrub-In Mask?
Pumpkin Enzyme Mask is considered a scrub-in mask because it delivers enzyme and physical exfoliation benefits by applying the mask in a gentle scrub-in motion and then letting it work on skin for a period of time. First, by gently scrubbing the formula onto skin, the pumpkin and cocoa micro-exfoliators begin the process by loosening dead skin cells and debris. Then, during the 15-to-20-minute leave-on period, the pumpkin enzyme exfoliator breaks down keratin and other skin proteins that keep dead surface skin cells stuck together so they can be easily sloughed away. Rinse off to reveal a fresher, youthful glow.
How do enzymatic, chemical and physical exfoliators differ and what benefits do they provide?
Exfoliation is a critical step in any skin care program, since regardless of the type of exfoliator you use, the overarching goal is the same – to remove dead skin cells and reveal the fresher, younger cells underneath. Once those skin-dulling dead cells are gone, skin can be restored to a healthier state with renewed smoothness and a youthful glow. But each exfoliator does use different ingredients and works in different ways to provide skin with varying levels of exfoliation.
Is this product recommended for someone with sensitive skin?
While Pumpkin Enzyme Mask was formulated to provide gentle exfoliation for all skin types, it was not specifically tested on people with sensitive skin. Consult your physician regarding use. Remove if there is any discomfort.
