Position Description

As Program Manager you will be responsible for the daily management of the new product development (NPD) process for Revision Skincare. The NPD pipeline includes, but is not limited to, new product innovation, raw material replacements, packaging upgrades, international expansion, and all other changes required across Revision Skincare’s product portfolio. You will lead cross-functional teams through various activities ranging from product ideation, development, launch, to all maintenance needed throughout the product lifecycle. This position will be accountable for overall portfolio management, clarifying project specifications, establishing detailed timelines, and driving accountability to successful project execution. As the Program Manager you will administer and track overall program health, develop and report key metrics, and be responsible for implementing ongoing continuous process improvements. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, this role will heavily interact with Marketing, R&D, Operations, Purchasing, Regulatory, Quality and outside vendors. Qualified candidates must possess a deep understanding of the complete product development process for personal care products, pharmaceuticals, food/beverage products and/or consumer packaged goods.

Essential Duties and Functions
  • Develop a detailed project tracking system with critical path activities to provide all functions with clear direction on deliverables and timing milestones for all NPD projects
  • Oversee communication between all cross-functional departments to establish comprehensive schedules with detailed action items, due dates, owners and dependencies for each product development activity
  • Lead team collaboration to ensure synchronization of work and that project deliverables are realistic and achievable
  • Establish documented operating procedures for project initiation and approvals for product initiatives as needed
  • Manage the overall prioritization process for all product development functions based on key business criteria
  • Responsible for aligning decision makers on the most important variables that drive each project to prevent scope creep and maintain launch objectives
  • Serve as a liaison and work closely with the Program Manager at our manufacturing facility
  • Work with cross-functional partners to deliver products on time while achieving quality, budget, and cost objectives
  • Collaborate with the NPD team to establish success metrics for new projects as appropriate and conduct cross-departmental post launch analyses to realize successes and pinpoint areas for improvement
  • Identify and implement process improvements to continually enhance performance and increase agility across NPD functions
  • Conduct quarterly meetings with Executive & Commercial Leadership on overall NPD advancements, opportunities, and recommendations for support needed to enhance alignment and advance initiatives
  • Lead NPD status meetings and disseminate notes for timely communication to keep cross-functional teams connected, informed, and focused on action
  • Manage the submission process and tracking of formula and packaging samples within various stages of development to ensure necessary review and approvals
  • Conduct risk assessments and contingency plans as needed with NPD team and elevate to management as appropriate with team recommendations 
    • Thorough understanding of program/project management techniques and methods
    • Ability to perform projects with minimal direction and independently manage daily assignments
    • Leadership and confidence to hold all departments and levels of management accountable for meeting deadlines and adhering to approved processes

    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and program/project management software (MS Project, etc.) 
      • 7+ years actively working as a Program Manager/Project Manager in the development of consumer packaged goods. Experience in the industries of pharmaceutical, OTC drug, and/or personal care products is highly desired.
      • Bachelor’s Degree (4-year degree) is required
      • PMP certification or other Program/Project Management certification is required
